The ARDC staff are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the 44Net program. While 44Net is supported by a global community of volunteers and participants, its ongoing administration, infrastructure coordination, and program development are carried out by professional staff employed by Amateur Radio Digital Communications (ARDC).

Role in 44Net

ARDC staff oversee operational aspects of 44Net, including:

  • Processing subnet assignment requests and maintaining registry records
  • Operating and coordinating core infrastructure services
  • Supporting documentation and community resources
  • Developing new services and program initiatives
  • Coordinating volunteers and advisory groups

Staff act as stewards of the network on behalf of ARDC and the amateur radio community.

Relationship to governance

ARDC staff operate under the oversight of the ARDC Board of Directors. Technical input and recommendations may be provided by the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC).

Relationship to volunteers

Many aspects of 44Net depend on community participation. Staff work collaboratively with Regional Coordinators, infrastructure operators, and volunteers throughout the 44Net ecosystem.
