Long definition: Automated Packet Reporting System (APRS) is a packet radio mode that typically operates using 1200 baud audio frequency shift keying (AFSK). It's often used by mobile stations to broadcast positional data, or by weather stations to broadcast weather data. It also supports 9600 baud, which is less common.
